English version prepared on 21 October 2026, based on the Italian privacy policy updated 11 October 2026. This notice describes the data processing already outlined in the published Italian privacy policy.
This notice explains how personal information is processed when someone visits renditaproject.com, subscribes to email updates or sends a request using the contact form.
1. Who controls the data and how to contact them
The data controller is the individual who operates the editorial website Rendita Project, introduced on the blog as Daniele. To ask about personal-data processing or exercise your privacy rights, write to rendita.project@gmail.com or use the Contact page (Italian).
2. What information is processed
- Website use and security: technical information such as IP address, device and browser details, requested pages, date and time, access logs and information needed to protect the website.
- Contact requests: the name, email address and message voluntarily submitted through the contact form.
- Newsletter: email address and technical information related to subscription, confirmation, delivery and abuse prevention.
- Website statistics: Jetpack Stats processes information about visits, pages viewed and clicks. According to its documentation, this may include IP address, browser details, page URL and referrer, date and time, language and country; for people signed into WordPress.com, it may also include a user ID and name. The website operator sees aggregated reports rather than individual visitor identifiers; the service provider may nevertheless process personal data.
- Cookies and similar technologies: technical information and browser preferences needed for the functions actually used.
3. Purposes and legal bases
- Site operation, maintenance and security: legitimate interests in keeping the site available and preventing spam and abuse (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), together with any applicable legal obligations.
- Replying to messages: handling requests from visitors, based on the legitimate interest in replying or, where relevant, steps requested before a possible contractual relationship (GDPR Article 6(1)(f) or (b)).
- Newsletter: sending updates specifically requested by readers on the basis of consent given through voluntary subscription (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)), subject to applicable electronic-marketing requirements. Subscribers can unsubscribe.
- Usage statistics: improving the website and its content. Non-essential cookies or tracking technologies remain subject to further legal requirements, including prior consent where required.
Required fields in the contact form are necessary to receive and process a request. Newsletter subscription is optional and is not required to read articles.
4. Platforms and providers
The website is hosted by WordPress.com and uses Jetpack/Automattic services, including statistics, contact forms and newsletter subscriptions. Akismet helps detect spam and abuse: relevant information submitted through forms may undergo automated anti-spam checks. Depending on the service, providers may process data on the operator’s behalf or in other roles described in their own privacy notices.
Information may be shared with providers needed to deliver the services and, where legally required, competent authorities. The operator does not sell the newsletter subscriber list.
5. International transfers
Some Automattic services and their providers may process or transfer information outside the European Economic Area. Their conditions and safeguards are explained in their respective privacy notices linked above. Contact the website operator for further clarification about a particular processing activity.
6. Retention
- Contact messages: kept for the time needed to handle the request and meet legitimate legal or recordkeeping needs, with periodic review and deletion when no longer necessary.
- Newsletter information: kept while the reader remains subscribed; limited information may be retained when needed to record unsubscribe requests or meet related obligations.
- Statistics and technical logs: retained according to security needs and platform retention policies. The Italian policy describes the current Jetpack Stats retention practices. For the latest applicable periods, see the provider’s published documentation; aggregated reports may remain available separately.
7. Cookies and other tracking technologies
WordPress.com and Jetpack may use cookies and similar technologies for the features described in their documentation. Rendita Project uses Jetpack Stats to measure traffic. A financial-risk notice also uses a browser localStorage entry named rpDisclaimerSeenMonth to record the month in which the notice was closed so it can be shown again in later months. The code does not set an automatic expiry for this value: it remains until website data are erased or it is replaced.
Selecting “Ho compreso” (“I understand”) or closing the financial-risk notice does not constitute consent to tracking. Strictly necessary technical cookies may be used without prior consent where the law allows, subject to information requirements. Non-essential cookies and technologies require prior consent where applicable. A financial-risk disclaimer is not a cookie-consent mechanism.
For technical information, see the Jetpack cookie documentation. You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings, although some features may then be unavailable. Cookie controls are managed at site level and are not separate for English-language pages.
Calculators: amounts entered into Rendita Project calculators are processed by each calculator in the browser and are not sent to or saved by the calculator itself. This does not remove the separate website navigation and analytics processing described above. Do not enter identifying information about yourself or third parties. External links, including Facebook links, lead to services with their own policies.
8. Your rights
Where the GDPR applies, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and data portability, subject to the relevant legal conditions. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Newsletter emails also include an unsubscribe option.
To exercise your rights, contact rendita.project@gmail.com. You may lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante).
9. Updates to this notice
This notice may be updated as the website, its service providers or applicable law changes. The dates at the beginning distinguish this English-language version from its Italian source.
